CLAIM: “*Does not provide immunity”

EXPLANATION: FALSE, vaccine factually DO provide immunity. According to PublicHealth: “A vaccine works by training the immune system to recognize and combat pathogens, either viruses or bacteria. To do this, certain molecules from the pathogen must be introduced into the body to trigger an immune response.

These molecules are called antigens, and they are present on all viruses and bacteria. By injecting these antigens into the body, the immune system can safely learn to recognize them as hostile invaders, produce antibodies, and remember them for the future. If the bacteria or virus reappears, the immune system will recognize the antigens immediately and attack aggressively well before the pathogen can spread and cause sickness.” [2].

And, as informed by CDC: “COVID-19 vaccines help our bodies develop immunity to the virus that causes COVID-19 without us having to get the illness. Different types of vaccines work in different ways to offer protection, but with all types of vaccines, the body is left with a supply of “memory” T-lymphocytes as well as B-lymphocytes that will remember how to fight that virus in the future.

It typically takes a few weeks for the body to produce T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes after vaccination. Therefore, it is possible that a person could be infected with the virus that causes COVID-19 just before or just after vaccination and then get sick because the vaccine did not have enough time to provide protection.

Sometimes after vaccination, the process of building immunity can cause symptoms, such as fever. These symptoms are normal and are a sign that the body is building immunity.” [3]

CLAIM: about still unable to go to restaurants and other public places, not resistant to Covid, unable to stop transmission, how long will the vaccine last, not stopping the social distancing, hugging others, statistic of the survival rate, unable to 100% protect other people in contact with, doesn’t eliminate the virus, doesn’t guarantee you won’t get it, doesn’t stop from passing it on to others, doesn’t eliminate the travel bans, doesn’t stop the business closures, doesn’t stop the lockdowns, doesn’t stop the need for mask.

EXPLANATION: the answer to above statements are related to the Herd Immunity, as soon as Herd Immunity fulfilled it will be safer to loosen the restrictions.

CLAIM: “●”If I get vaccinated can I stop wearing a mask(s)?” Goverment: “NO”, and about the travel bans still applied, the business stil need to be closed, lockdowns still carries on, does not eliminate the need to wear mask.

EXPLANATION: from Hopkins Medicine, “Will I still have to wear a mask and continue COVID-19 safety precautions if I get the vaccine?

Yes, everyone still needs to maintain these safety precautions for the foreseeable future. If you are among the estimated 5% to 10% of people for whom the vaccine is not effective, you could still catch and spread the coronavirus. Another one, from the United Nations: “The COVID-19 pandemic “will not end for anyone, until it ends for everyone”, an independent UN human rights expert said on Friday, advocating for an equitable and globally-coordinated vaccine distribution programme.

“The virus can still travel from the vastly unvaccinated massive population of the Global South to the Global North, including in its increasingly mutating forms”, Obiora Okafor, UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and international solidarity, said in a statement.” [6]

Results are reassuring

Results from monitoring efforts are reassuring. Some people have no side effects. Many people have reported mild side effects after COVID-19 vaccination, like

* pain or swelling at the injection site,

* a headache, chills,

* or fever.

These reactions are common. A small number of people have had a severe allergic reaction (called “anaphylaxis”) after vaccination, but this is extremely rare. If this occurs, vaccination providers have medicines available to effectively and immediately treat the reaction.

After you get a COVID-19 vaccine, you will be asked to stay for 15–30 minutes so you can be observed in case you have a severe allergic reaction and provided treatment in the rare case it is needed.” [7]

EXPLANATION: an article from KGW8, “4. False narratives about pharmaceutical companies and public figures profiting from the vaccine

Many false claims associate the COVID-19 vaccines with “big pharma” corruption. On the contrary, leading vaccines are largely funded by governments and nonprofit organizations, which have pledged billions of dollars for doses at set prices.

For the near future, companies will be focused on fulfilling those orders quickly, rather than making large profits. It is unclear what the vaccine landscape will look like after this.”
